Big news! I am excited to announce that I will be speaking at Frequent Traveler University (FTU) this November in Chicago.
FTU bills itself as “the world’s premier education series of seminars devoted to teaching travelers the best way to maximize their frequent flyer miles, hotel points and credit card rewards, while learning about new destinations, tools, and loyalty program intricacies to help make their travels cheaper, more comfortable and in more luxury.”
Basically, it’s a whole day (or weekend, if you prefer) of talking about travel, miles and points.
FTU will host two simultaneous events, a $39 Travel Expo on Saturday, November 18 and a $249 Signature Event from Friday, November 17-Sunday, November 19. I will be speaking at both the Expo and Signature Events. My bio is here. And check out the rest of the speakers under “Meet the Speakers” while you’re at it.
My Expo talk will focus on tips for solo travel. During my Signature session, I will discuss one particular aspect of manufactured spending, which is an advanced way to get miles and points.
I am super excited to be speaking amongst some of the leading miles, points, and travel experts in this hobby. Side note, this is my first foray into public speaking. I love talking travel and I’m hoping it’ll be evident in my sessions.
Conferences like FTU are a great way to get lots of useful information if you’re just starting out in miles and points. For the more advanced, FTU is a great way to get insider information you won’t necessarily find shared on travel blogs and message boards. And you get to meet others who are just as passionate about travel as you are.
